About Us
Our Mission
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
“…teaching them to observe all that I command you.”
Our Beliefs
The Primacy of Scripture
A disregard for God’s word first began when Adam violated the Lord’s divine injunction in the Garden of Eden. God’s chosen people, the Israelites, frequently disregarded His law in furtherance of their own worldly ends, and often suffered for their disobedience. Numerous examples exist in the New Testament of people who distorted God’s word out of ignorance or through selfish, vain ambition.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 tells us that there is “…nothing new under the sun.” Even today, many Christian denominations have allowed themselves to be burdened with worldly traditions and practices that contradict God’s word, His plan for our salvation, and the sacrifice of His son, Jesus Christ.
It is the desire of the churches of Christ to reach beyond denominationalism and return to the simplicity and purity of Christ’s church as it was founded in the first century. The solution is a return to God’s word as written in the Bible. The Bible is THE standard by which our lives must be measured. We believe that the Bible , and only the Bible can lead Christians through life as God intended. Some will call this “fundamentalism”; we simply call it Christianity.

The Worship
Worship in the churches of Christ is simple and participatory. Christians meet upon the first day of every week, as was done in the first century, to worship in song, in prayer, and in word. All singing is done a cappella, and the Lord’s Supper is observed, Giving is encouraged, but not compulsory. Sermons and lessons focus on studying the Bible – the original intent of it’s words, and what those inspired words mean for our lives today as Christians.
